Ahh . . . Colic

We believe Aiden has developed colic. It all started Sunday night. Dustin and I took turns holding him while he cried. Of course the other two wanted to get in on the crying action. My sister (Paulette) was kind enough to go to the drug store for us and pick up some Gripe Water. She stayed until about 11:00 pm and rocked Aiden to sleep. Gripe water is a homeopathic medicine that treats the discomfort from colic, gas or reflux. I told my doctor that we started Aiden and Hannah on it last night and she said it may take a few days before we see results. In the meantime she had us change Aiden's formula to Enfamil Gentlease. She said it make take up to a week before we could see results from that as well. I just pray that something will work him.

One of our twins, James, was diagnosed with colic (and reflux) as well! It's been miserable for the past two months. The fact he's a preemie doesn't help because he's not expected to outgrow it until 4-6 months adjusted age. James is on prevacid & carafate for reflux, and Gentlease for the fussiness and gas. Gripe water didn't work for us, unfortunately. He's doing much better finally, but now he's sick with a cold! If you find something that works, please let me know!!!! Best of luck to you!
